What guns and ammo are you guys using for crows? I was using my 870 26" bbl. w/ full choke today and I had a heck of a time bringing them down. I was also using 7 1/2 shot, 1 1/4 oz. Remington Long Range Express shells. I had feathers flying several times and only brought 1 down. It was a looooong day. Anyway, I was just looking for input.

we took black tape and taped up a small towel and left it lay in a field with an owl decoy, with an angry crow call... they came in swarms... happy shooting

AKs and ARs do NOT make good crow hunting guns, especially when they're flying.

Put in your modified choke and use some remington #4 shot high brass. Knocks the stuffing out of them. Don't buy the Express mag. shot just regular 2 3/4 #4 shot usually with a black shell. Not too expensive compared to the Express Mag.

I hunt crows often. Cabelas and midway sell an electronic calling decoy. It works well. Luckily the hawk only took out one of my other cheaper decoys. Just about any loud electronic call should bring them in. I use winchester high brass super-x #8 shot with a full choke. Sometimes I use a .22 mag while they are sitting in the trees or feeding in fields. A dead crow will attract a bunch more. The most fun I had was when I set up in a fly zone they were using one evening to get to their favorite sleeping spot. No call was needed. They just kept coming!

out of all the threads on this site,i enjoyed this one the most,crow hunting is lots of fun it you understand 1 simple thing,those little bastards are smart,lol,ever notice that when you drive by them they only move when you try to run them over,but stop and try to get out and they are gone,lol.we used to hunt them in richboro on my friends farm,dident use any decoys or calls,we used to gather on the outside of his barn and send his wife running in,lol,but they are hard to bring down,i remember when i was a kid me,my father and grand father went,saw my grand father shoot both legs off the crow while it was on the ground,thar sucker flapper around till it got speed and attempted to fly away,almost made it,but dad shoit it after that,lol,crazyest thing i ever saw
