Is that known as a trifuckta?
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

The Statue of Liberty needs to be moved out of the NYC area. There is nothing in common between Liberty and NYC. (or NY state for that matter)

Re: Teacher/army vet nailed at Statue of Liberty for revolver in her purse
Feel bad for the teacher. Two cases now within a month where lawful carry-permit-holders are in trouble due to laws in Socialist states.
That said, something positive may happen from these cases for a few reasons - as long as the dumbed-down public was paying attention...
1. In both cases we are dealing with females, not testosterone. The anti-2A types have a hard time rationalizing to each other why the gentler-sex got into a deep binjo-ditch doing something within the law.
And let's face it; the anti-2A crowd is ALWAYS screaming that no one should have a gun unless legally licensed to do so.
Both these gals meet their twisted criteria for 2A rights.
2. One female was black, the other a teacher. I'm willing to bet that BOTH were card-carrying Dem Obama-noids.
How's that working out for you these days, ladies?
Maybe next time they will pay attention to the platform of their chosen political party.
Maybe other Dems will re-examine who they will vote for next time..
3. Just as the Ferguson situation has finally shined a light on Eric Holder's growing domestic Gestapo forces, maybe these 2 gals will bring light to the whole BS of patchwork gun-laws across the USA.
It is inexcusable that the 2A doesn't apply equally and consistently across the USA.All of my guns are lubed with BACON GREASE.

I am really confused on this one, since the statue and park are in NJ not NYC.

Re: Teacher/army vet nailed at Statue of Liberty for revolver in her purse
I not only agree with this post I’ll also take it a step further. Since both reside in areas where gun control is popular (especially the one in NY) but had
LTCF(s) I want to know what they did to support their carry privileges prior to their arrests. Did they vote for pro-gun candidates? Were they a member of at least one pro-gun lobby group? Did they ever contact their state and federal members of congress encouraging them to vote pro-gun? If they didn’t do at least one or more of the aforementioned actions they are a part of the problem. If they voted for the enemy they are the problem and it’s disgusting that they have a LTCF that the pro-gun crowd sacrificed time, money and effort that gave them the opportunity to apply for and get carry privileges. In conclusion, if they can’t tell me what they did to help the pro-gun cause prior to their arrests; screw them.

Re: Teacher/army vet nailed at Statue of Liberty for revolver in her purse
I think we all need to keep an eye on the two cases currently in the news and not be so quick to dismiss them. Yes both women violated draconian laws and both women should have known better...but they didn't. That part is over, it's the rest we need to be concerned with. Zero tolerance policies and mandatory sentences fall flat in cases like this. They both broke the law but can anyone honestly say that they're comfortable with the proposed punishment fitting the transgression? Up to 15 years for a teacher/army vet? It's so bizarre it's surreal. Thirty days in jail...a fine...maybe. But her entire life is about to be ruined. One can only hope that these people in NY and NJ see what a mess they've created and vote accordingly.

Re: Teacher/army vet nailed at Statue of Liberty for revolver in her purse
Liberty Island is located in the Upper New York Bay surrounded by the waters of Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey, but its built portions and docks fall under the jurisdiction of the City of New York. The historical developments which led to this construction created the rare situation of an exclave of one state, New York, being situated in another, New Jersey
When the Province of New Jersey was separated from the Province of New York in 1674 it was argued that Staten Island belonged to the former. Then governor Edmund Andros directed that all islands in the bay that could be circumnavigated within 24 hours were part of New York. Captain Christopher Billopp sailed around it within the allotted time and was soon thereafter granted a manor at its southern tip. The border came to be understood as being along the shore of the Hudson River, the Upper New York Bay, the Kill van Kull, and Arthur Kill.
