    Default C&R License renewal

I see the renewal application is slightly different this time around.

On the old form, they wanted to know your business hours, but if you were a C&R FFL holder, they had a checkbox for that and you didn't have to enter anything.

On the new form, they only have a checkbox for gunsmithing, nothing for C&R.

Do I just leave this blank?

On Section C there is a new question - Have you conducted or do you intend to conduct internet sales of a firearm? If yes, list websites from which you conduct your internet business.

I listed 2 C&R firearms for sale on this forum a few years ago. Does that count? Or because I am C&R, I am not a business, so therefore I don't have to fill this out?

I don't remember the renewal form,,,,, but,,,,,, a C&R does NOT give us the authority to conduct a business with that license. It specifically mentions that we cannot.

I'd leave them blank or if the answer is definitely NO, check that box. Others will be right along, I'm sure.......

Interesting that they have a special form to apply for a C&R but not for renewal.

    Yeah, it is odd.

I've had one for 6 years and never even a phone call or letter besides the renewal application they send out.

I've heard that they can do an audit like they do for FFL01s.

I haven't been using mine much over the last few years. Just don't have the money to buy stuff I want.

With C&R you can arrange a meeting at their location and bring your items to them, IIRC. 5 years here and no call or visit.

Never a visit here. I have been told you do not have to let them in your home - as mentioned above you can arrange to meet them at their location and bring any item they wish to see. Never had a visit here. I renewed mine last year and don't remember any issues - maybe they have changed it since then. I'm still trying to figure out why you get a wallet size copy too with your new license but it can't be used to make any purchases.
