I don't know about NJ but Philadelphia has a standing reward for anyone killed and the FOP Lodge 5 routinely kicks in to up the reward, especially for children.

BTW how much do you guys contribute?

I help them move out of their houses and listen to their mothers reminisce and cry while hugging them. Plus maybe $100 or so if there is a fund.

Why would I contribute to the arrest and/or conviction of the innocent victim. I might contribute to the arrest and/or conviction of the felon that committed the crime.

I'm gonna claim part of the reward for narrowing the suspect pool. It's obvious that the shooter was a cop - 'cause nobody else in PRNJ carries a gun...

Gotta say, the video footage that I saw was grainy as hell.
I saw no muzzle blast from the vehicle, so who's to say the shooter was in this vehicle?
Anyhow, good luck getting a license plate number from this footage.


You'd think these guys would have a decent quality HD camera with NV or IR capabilities. The report on the 'news' is that these cameras were only recently installed. Huh. Seems like you guys got ripped off. Hell, my $200 game watcher camera has better resolution than this POS.

Maybe it was BB guns. They are firearms in NJ. A BB handgun is a handgun in NJ, same laws if you possess one, just with 3 years minimum in jail vs. 5 minimum.
