104.7 Talk Radio Gone!

I rarely listen to anything while in the car, but I found an old "greatest hits" type Motley Crue CD a week ago and I've been Shouting at the Devil very loudly every day since then.



Without this thread it probably would have taken me another week or so before I noticed. And I WOULD have noticed some country crap playing on one of my presets.

Bloomdaddy killed their morning drive ratings by 40%

When Quinn and Rose were still with the station) they pulled a 4.1 rating, Bloomdaddy knocked it down to a 2.5 in the June 2014 according to Nielsen ratings.

What ever Quinn and Rose were asking for was far cheaper than losing 40% of your audience to a replacement nobody.

I actually did read that the day it went off the air. I was searching about why and found the ratings or (shares) as they were calling it was the lowest in a long time. I'm blaming the whole Bloomdaddy morning crap show! I always did hate people from Wheeling! ......just kidding but not really.

NPR has come up in a few posts... I listen regularly and really enjoy their content. I would suggest giving it a shot. They have a good bit of Pittsburgh News content. I find very little of their content "offensive"...even if you don't agree with a particular topic, they are still informative (and short lol). Car Talk, Science Friday, and The Splendid Table are great shows.

NPR has come up in a few posts... I listen regularly and really enjoy their content. I would suggest giving it a shot. They have a good bit of Pittsburgh News content. I find very little of their content "offensive"...even if you don't agree with a particular topic, they are still informative (and short lol). Car Talk, Science Friday, and The Splendid Table are great shows.

I love Car Talk. Those Click & Clack brothers are a hoot!

I used to listen to 104.7 but I can't take hanity and rush anymore. Jerry Doyle is awesome, I used to listen to him all the time, then they dumped him for MORE sports talk. I pretty much quit listening at that point. There are so many other great conservative radio hosts out there that are way more interesting entertaining than rush and hannity. Thankfully, I can stream who ever I want to listen to to the truck radio via Bluetooth on my phone.

At least the new 104.7 is doing 10,000 songs commercial free for their kick off. As a country fan, I like this.
