    Default Beretta 92fs Compact

My Beretta 92fs Compact (INOX finish) is now my most accurate pistol.

I recently acquired a new Beretta 92 compact, and I'm very impressed with this pistol. It's a good size for concealed carry. The shortened grip and slide make for a much handier M9, but it's still big enough to be a 'service sized' pistol.

I'm no crack shot. But this pistol really hits where you point.

Here is a target, 8 yards. Shot an entire 20 round magazine with plus 1.

    21 rounds.

    I highly recommend this gun.

Is yours the M9 inox compact with rail? I had one on hold but changed my mind due to the rail. It wouldn't fit my existing carry gear. Your review makes me kind of wish I picked it up.

Yes, mine is the 'new' iteration, M9A1 Compact, Inox with rail.

I thought the rail was going to be a problem, but I have three holsters that fit the gun. (De Santis Thumb break pancake for Glock 30, Bianchi thumb break with open muzzle for M9, and a Blackhawk nylon IWB that fits 4 inch autos).

It's a little on the heavy side b/c it's alloy frame, but it's no heavier than a commander sized 1911. In INOX finish, it's really a BEAUTIFUL gun.

Mec Gar 20 round magazines only stick out about an inch, and make for an option for REAL firepower should it be desired.

    Very classy looking piece.

Can you share some pictures of this tack driver? You're making me want one.

I'm not a fan of posting pics of my actual firearms on the interwebz; but here's a link to the gun:

I bought 92A1 for my dad.
I don't like the gun(my hand too small for it), yet, it is superbly accurate.
But I still don't like it, because its too big.

    Then there is 92FS Compact...
Geez no wonder why I can't save any money...

    Here you go
I don't have large hands either, yet the 92fs Compact fits me perfectly. Almost feels like a 1911, even though it's a double stack, and the reach to the trigger is just right.

I like the matte stainless (not too blingy, but definitely stylish) with the black trigger and controls to contrast.

My stainless Walther PPK is a nice 'little brother' to this Inox compact.

It's one fine looking gun. How's the trigger on it in SA? Does it break cleanly, or is there a lot of stack/creep like on a PX4?

The Beretta trigger in single action has some loose take-up (not unlike a sig I used to have), and then it breaks pretty cleanly.

I should say that the Beretta double-action trigger has a long trigger pull (it's smooth, though). The double-action trigger is smoother than my revolvers, but it's just as long.

Some think it's not a bad thing (I don't mind it), others who are used to striker-fired pistols will probably dislike it. The slide action is the smoothest feel I've ever experienced on an auto pistol. Working the slide feels like it's gliding on air.
