Re: AR15 choice?
I have a Spikes 16" Dissipator. It has a midlength gas block and a pinned FSB on a lightweight barrel. It uses a rifle length handguard. I like the extra handguard length. There are a couple dissipators that have an A2 receiver but picking are slim. Bushmaster may still make runs of Dissipators with A2 receivers I know Model 1 sales makes one. Cabelas in Hamburg, Pa has some LE turn in Bushmaster A2 Dissipators when I was there the other month. All scratched to hell with a $1200 price tag. I laughed when I saw the price.

Re: AR15 choice?
I have a DPMS Oracle. No problems with it and it's quite accurate. All the AR fan boys say it's low class, won't hold up ect. ect. I have Colt 6920 also. I'd pick the Colt every time. It's also more money. The bottom has fell out. AR's are cheap right now. Get a AR, 10 mags at $7 a pop and a case of ammo for less than a grand.

PSA has always been pretty good I just picked up some stuff last Friday it shipped already eta is this Friday. They have some great prices especially if you catch the right sale. I've always expected about two weeks from PSA but for the price I'm willing to give then a little more time.

If you want one from a manufacturer that stands behind the accuracy of the rifle, consider Rock River Arms. You can also get one exactly the way you want it.
I have two, a 16" Operator and a 20" Predator Pursuit. By my experience, you won't have to return them for accuracy lol.

Re: AR15 choice?
There is a lot to be said in favor of building your own gun.
Not wanting to do that? Old school....carry handle.....20 inch barrel....iron sights....yeah, Colt AR15A4.
I have had a Colt HBAR for a couple of decades now....it has never not worked and has shot the smallest groups of any rifle that I have owned. (1/2" at 100 yds with the iron sights)

Re: AR15 choice?
If you dont want to build your own I believe you will do well with the DPMS. I originally had a a ban model carbine then traded for an Ap4 which I sold for a profit. I now have the MK 12 SPR from DPMS. I have always found them to be very good rifles.
