So "residents" would include Boston police too. Take all the PDs rifles, shotguns, pistols, LE only knives, kevlar, MRAPs, .50cals, machine guns and etc. Give them a helmet, a wood club and subcompact car like over in London.

Re: Boston PD Commissioner: Residents do not need shotguns or rifles
Being a born and raised native Bostonian with a long back view of that region's history, it occurs to me that one basic question needs to be asked here. Why should anybody care in the least what another liberal political hack, namely this Boston Police Commissioner stooge has to say? Those slimy assholes are not real cops or even politicians but are in fact appointed Massachusetts democrat party hacks.
He and his Boston city hall minion buddies don't have the power or authority to restrict private citizen rifle or shotgun ownership. It's all cheap talk bullshit and bravado to impress the Beacon Hill and Harvard Square cocktail party elitist progressive cash contributor crowd.
As odd as it may sound to people outside that state, Massachusetts has more than one hard core group of strong 2nd Amendment rights advocates who keep the anti-gun politicians off balance and under control. For example, in recent years, the requirement for a resident of Massachusetts to obtain a "License to the Carry Firearms" has been made lawful and uniform. Previously, in some cities and towns in Massachusetts it was almost impossible to get a permit to carry concealed. Before, the process was all dependent upon the whim of the local police chief. Today, the operation is state-wide uniform and all law abiding citizens in Massachusetts are given an even shake under strictly defined rules.

Re: Boston PD Commissioner: Residents do not need shotguns or rifles
Thank you. There are some very hard core gun people in "Liberal States" just as there are some disgusting Gun Control enthusiasts in places like Montana or Texas.
Just because the majority of citizens or just a majority of those who bother to vote, are Hopolophobes doesn't make the whole State a cesspool. Does mean that you best stay out with your firearms AND if you want to starve the Beast best not spend money there.
