Default Are some counties more open carry friendly,

Are some counties more open carry friendly meaning friendly from Leo and citizens than other PA counties? Which county do you feel more comfortable OC'ing?

Yes. There are many counties. Some very urban, some rural, some are damn near wilderness.

Yes, and on the other hand, a person can have a bad experience simply by running into "the wrong person" by happenstance, even in a county generally thought of as "OK".

Additionally, there can be both "better" and "worse" areas within a given county. We have 67 counties. Maybe we could be more helpful if you told us what you had in mind.

Look at Philadelphia for example. The entire city lies within one county, Philadelphia County, and there are areas that are generally regarded as safe for tourists, and are likely more OK for open carry, even though most of Philly is generally regarded as being pretty risky. Travel a mile or so and you can enter an area where even the police would prefer not go without an armored personnel carrier. Coming from Baltimore originally, I can tell you that city is the same way.

So... what do you have in mind? Are you looking for some activism and maybe to get arrested, or maybe a little tourism, see the sights?

Do you have a license/permit that will allow you to carry concealed here?
EDIT: Never mind, I just went back and looked at your previous posts and saw you picked up your PA LTCF, answered my own question.

Tioga county is OC friendly. It's a rural county. Mansfield has a university the university is not gun friendly. Most people in the county don't notice or don't care. When we have visitors from north of the border they will notice. sometimes they will ask if it's legal.

Both Northampton & Lehigh are pretty darn friendly with a fair amount of regular OCers here despite being fairly urban.
Come on down and have a visit.

There is a fair amount of fun things to do here in the Lehigh Valley.

I don't OC in Philly, but have no problem doing so anywhere else, and have yet to get any sort of official harassment about it.

Pike, Monroe, Wayne, Carbon are OC friendly. Been in them all plenty of times without a hitch.

No, it is not illegal. Who filled your head with such rubbish?

Open carry is legal in Philly with a PA LTCF, or a license or permit from any state PA honors.
