Price check on Vepr rifles?
I've always kind of liked the way they look and wanted one but never really had the need or didn't really want to spend the money but now that they're banned I'm wondering if I should pick one up while I can. It wouldn't be the end of the world if I couldn't though.
I hadn't really been paying very close attention to their price trends so can anyone tell me what they were normally going for before this current BS ban? That way I'll have an idea of how much the price has/will go up to gauge whether I really want one now or anymore. I know they come in several different calibers and configurations so I guess lets say 7.62x39 and any barrel length. Thanks.

Re: Price check on Vepr rifles?
Thanks, but that's a shotgun. I'm talking about the rifles. Also I was looking for info on what they had been selling for recently as I'm assuming anything I find now would be at least slightly elevated. I'm looking to compare what they've been recently selling for vs. what they are now or will be shortly.

Re: Price check on Vepr rifles?
$700 to $800 if you looked around. Some less desirable configurations were available for less dollars.
If the Russian ban mirrors the Chinese ban then you may as well grab something now because what's here presently is it.
Or wait and see what happens in six months or whenever.
VEPRs don't get a lot of love but I think they're sweet. Except for those shottys, folks sure love them. In spite of the fact that they're sort of useless once the novelty wears off.Johnnie F.

Re: Price check on Vepr rifles?
Thanks guys. I don't have a lot of time to shoot so I'm more of a collector, for now anyway, until I do get time which will be who knows when. Now I just have to figure out if I should add one while I can or just say the heck with it. I know what you mean when you say "useless once the novelty wears off." I always thought they looked like a cool hunting rifle that you can't hunt with (in PA anyway).
