Default He pulled out a knife in Walmart

I went to walmart tonight to get a new computer keyboard and I was OC as always, I was trying to decide between keyboards when I hear a man say "can you carry like that with a permit".
Me: Yes (I look up and see a man wearing a 5.11 style vest)
Him: Did they tell you that
    Me: Its legal
Him: I'm from Md and they will lock you up fast and take your gun for that
Me: Its a bit different up here
Him: I should move up here (as he walks away)

He walks around the corner and I go back to reading the keyboard boxes, then he walks back towards me and starts talking about cops in Baltimore carry tool boxes to change license plates. I really had no idea what he was talking about and he was slowly getting closer to me. He got too close for comfort and I took a step back to keep him from being to close. He is still talking about cops and none if it made much sense to me. Next think I know he pulls his hand from his pocket and he has a black dagger arrow head looking plastic knife in his hand, he is holding it by his him and pointed right at my stomach. As I step back he says " Yours won't get through a metal detector but mine will", I was very uncomfortable and stared at his knife as he put it back in his pocket. I just said "ok" as a backed away.

What is wrong with people, who pulls out a knife and points it at someone to show it to them in Walmart? I just wanted to get away from him so I didn't tell him that his knife was probably illegal to

You could have said yours will make two holes in his chest in one in his head if his doesn't go back into his pocket.
