    Default LR308 question

OK, so if my father and I build an LR-308 (AR-15 platform .308 rifle) and he buys the lower which has a serial on it, can it be sent to my local FFL and transferred to me since it is a complete rifle? I'm 19 and can't buy a lower receiver but can buy a completed AR-15 or variant. Would any laws be broken in doing this? Thanks in advance!

You are correct but in all honesty you will spend a metric shitton of money building one up. They aren't like ar15s in hat it's cheaper to build most times. I couldn't have built mine for what I paid

Yeah I figured cost into it. With parts, I created a budgeted of about $2700. Its not a cheap gun. But it will be a tack driver. Already got my stripped receiver, nickel boron BCG, and noveske barrel. Not going for cost effective on this build. Want the best i can get.

I built one. Cost ALOT more than just buying a complete rifle and tricking it out. ALOT more. Won't do that again.
A Republic, if you can keep it.
