Pre-Priming
Is it bad practice to prime brass and store it (3-6 months) for future loading? As long as it is kept cool and dry, I shouldn't run into any issues right?

Re: Pre-Priming
Do it all the time here. I've had primed brass for up to a year or so before using.
Clean and dry is all that it needs.www.Steelvalleycasting.com is your new home for coated bullets and custom ammo.

Re: Pre-Priming
I've done it for years. Just keep them in a dry place, like an ammo can.

I've done it for years and years...primed cases OR primers stored cool and dry it should be no problem. I try to remember to drop a few grains of WHITE RICE into the container b4 sealing it.
I recently pulled a buncha bullets from some 9mm "hot" rounds(labeled SMG/Carbine only) and will reuse the primed cases and projectiles with KNOWN powder and charges for std practice ammo. I spiffied up the projectiles by running them thru my vibrator media tub for awhile...look new and ready to load, 124 grains.

Re: Pre-Priming
Just remember to label them so you know what the primer is when you go to load them.

Gallon ziplock bags full of brass ready to go.

Re: Pre-Priming
Your primers sit in a box, nothing different from sitting in a case.
As stated above, I use gallon ziplocks with a couple desiccant packs tossed in for good measure.
Save the packs from shoes, etc... and store them in a baggie until ready to be re-used.
You can also buy a bag of silica cat litter.
I put it in a coffee filter and staple it shut, or you can use womens pantyhose by knotting both ends.
Just make sure it's silica litter and you can also use it in your ammocans and even in your gunsafe.

Bulk desiccant is available in craft stores. I think it's used for drying flowers.
