PA DOC Ruger Service Six? Need info..

This is my first post on PAFOA, just wanted to say hello

I was looking for some info on a gun I recently bought.

I'm a PA State Corrections Officer, and we use S&W 65's where I work.

I recently bought a .38 Special Ruger Service Six that was a PA DOC gun. I'm guessing before the switch to S &W's.

At the Academy in Elizabethtown I qualified with a S&W 64-8. There were a mix of 64's and 65's there.

I was hoping some former or current PA CO's could help me out, who may know when or where the Rugers were used and when the switch to Smiths happened.

I'm an avid revolver shooter, as well as a Ruger nut. I just like to know as much as possible about stuff like this
