Thumbs up LTCF Renewal / Lancaster County Sheriff's Office

So, my LTCF was set to expire on 7/28 and I was up in the Lancaster area this morning so I stopped in the Sheriff's Office to renew it. I got there at 8:20am. They open at 8:30am. I was the first person in line out of 3 people. Handed the guy my application and payment. He ran the check. Took my picture. Had me double check everything. Printed my new LTCF. And I was back in the car by 8:41am.

I feel bad for people who have to wait for it to come in the mail.

I also asked the guy about suppressors / SBR's and he told me to just bring the forms in and Sheriff Mark S. Reese will sign off on them in 10 minutes if he's available. Good thing to know.

In my book- the Lancaster Sheriff's office is the greatest- They are very fast & efficient in handling renewals of permits..

I was in there last Friday at 330 pm. There was about 4 other people in line. I had the paper work for my repel ready even though I was about 16 months early. In am out in less than 15 min. I feel bad that some people were waiting a long time, but I guess that is the system working or not working depending on your point of view.

Good to know about the suppressors. Would sheriff Reese sign off on Mannheim township residents?

Haha. It was not renewed for oversleeping, but due to the fact I wanted all my permanent addresses to match. I might be paranoid, but considering my Utah and Arizona permits have a new home address, I wanted my pa LTCF to have the same address as my drivers license. It seemed prudent to do and worth the investment to ensure all addresses matched.

Goes by county of residence not city, so, yeah your good to go.

Wife and I just renewed again this afternoon. We parked on Orange Street, fed the meter 3 dimes and went in. No problems with the guards, the people in the office were friendly as always. Had one person ahead of us, and about 9 behind. We were in and out in under 30 minutes. They no longer have the second form and the reference box was crossed out on the application.
