Why did the Bear cross the road?
I have no idea why...but I almost ruined my evening and his future.
A young one most likely a year or two old darted across Milford road about 8 pm Saturday night. Between Milford and 739 where the bank is very steep on the west side of the road.
I lost about 2 lbs of rubber on that one!Jim @ kitchenknifefora.com

Re: Why did the Bear cross the road?
Been there done that, down by whispering pines nursery on 739. SOB ran out in total darkness between us and a pick-up we were following. I swear there is at least 3 sets of skid marks form that encounter...One set on the road, one set from the bears ass on the corner of the wife's suv, and in my shorts!
Happened around 9pm, so it was dark and in the early spring. It was so dang close I looked for fur brush marks from its ass in the dust on the suv.
Hell, NathanB one was hit down by your house and killed a week ago.

Re: Why did the Bear cross the road?
My dog took off after one last week. Then I had to take off after the dog. Luckily he stopped when I called him.

BEARS in general have a one track mind... FOOD!
So if there is garbage around, any food source they will be there, they are not worried about cars, people, homes... Its hot out, fruits might not be as plentiful as they should be, so expect them to look for garbage.Skeet is a sport where you are better to hit half of each bird then completely blast one and miss the other completely.
The choice is yours, place your faith in the court system and 12 of your peers, or carried away by 6 friends.

Re: Why did the Bear cross the road?
I'm over in Sunrise(unfortunately) and I've been seeing a ton this year. Needless to say I splurged and got a bear tag this year.
