    Default OC in Gettysburg?

I'm going to Gettysburg in a couple weeks for a few days. I've been there a few times over the past year, but never OCed. I never saw anyone OC either. Will I draw negative attention from LEOs if I OC on the battlefield or in town? I know the federal buildings are off limits (which includes the visitor's center). Thanks for all of your input!

If I'm not mistaken, Gettysburg Battlefield is a national park. In a Bill that was actually signed by King Obama, the national park's carry regulation falls back on whatever the state's carry laws are that it resides in. So since you can OC in PA, you can OC in a nation park that is in PA.

Whether or not you get negative attention is always a gamble and nobody can ever tell you that you will be 100% ok.

Thank you! I figured I would be fine on the battlefield, but I didn't know if there were any places where OCers weren't welcomed. I read another thread about the Gettysburg Walmart from a few years ago, but I don't plan on going there.

As with carrying anywhere, stay out of federal buildings while armed.

I live near Gettysburg and OC there on a regular basis. I've never gotten anything but positive comments from business owners and other visitors. In the summer, law enforcement has better things to do than harass a law-abiding OCer. The area around Gettysburg tends to be pretty conservative/gun-friendly, so I'd be surprised if you got a negative encounter from anyone other than a New Jersey tourist.
