Gun Permit - Bucks to Montco
Good evening everyone, I recently joined this site and absolutely love all the information.
Let me cut to the chase and not ramble on. So I just moved from Bucks County to Montgomery County. Bucks County issued my gun permit, does anyone know the steps in transferring the card or is a new application required? Does this now make my current gun permit "non-effective" due to my residence change? I CCW everyday and want to make sure that I am abiding all laws.
Thank you everyone who will respond to this post - if for some reason I have posted this in the wrong section please feel free to kindly inform me.

You dont need to tranfer the card upon moving. The state has your new address in their DOT database. So you can keep it as is until it expires. Then, Norristown will treat it as a new application, since it doesnt recognize out of county renewals. You'll have to pay a visit to your local PD, where they'll supply their bullshit "letter", or whatever the fuck they call it and with that you go to Norristown and apply for new LTCF (that's how it called in PA).

IF you decide to follow their "rules", the police check card is here:

You apparently take this to your local PD to fill out first

Good timing, then. Visit your local PD and request the LTCF Check Form. You can usually do it off hours. Mine took 4 or 5 days, then they called and said I can pick it up. Off hours too. Sheriff is not the worst here, so once you dotted all the i's, it will probably take them under half an hour to issue you the License.
Have fun.Je suis déplorable
