AG Kathleen Kane has created and sealed a PA LOOP HOLE the size of UTAH and screwed LOTS of gun owners that had relied on UTAH non resident permits for PA!

For all PA residents that can legal pass a background check to buy a firearm, that for whatever reason can’t get a LTCF in PA because of local politics (PHIILY). should have taken advantage of this loop hole to apply for a UTAH permit before June 26, 2014 agreement was signed.

for the last several months PA Attorney General Kathleen Kane had Officially created a new LOOP HOLE by her choice to switch PA and Utah from having statutory reciprocity Category 2 with out agreement to now Utah is a Category 4 which doesn’t recognize PA LTCF.

    See websites
    PA reciprocity

    http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/crime.aspx?id=184

    Utah reciprocity
    http://publicsafety.utah.gov/bci/FAQother.html
The following states DO NOT recognize the Utah concealed firearm permit for several months in 2014 PA was not recognized

Thanks to the misguided efforts of Attorney General Kathleen Kane to irritate Utah didn't recognize PA for any reciprocity.

    Guess what the results were?

You Did NOT have to a valid PA LTCF to apply for Utah permit as was the case before and will be again required at June 26 agreement and on July 30, 2014 when it goes into effect.

    http://publicsafety.utah.gov/bci/CFnewapp.html

Non-resident proof of permit. If you reside in a state that recognizes the validity of the Utah CFP or has reciprocity with Utah, you must obtain a CFP or CCW from your home state and submit a copy of it with your application for a Utah permit. For a list of reciprocal states click here. Residency will be determined by your state-issued identification. If your state does not recognize the Utah permit this does not apply.

See Utah law 53-5-704. Bureau duties -- Permit to carry concealed firearm --
Certification for concealed firearms instructor -- Requirements for issuance --
Violation -- Denial, suspension, or revocation -- Appeal procedure

For the limited people in PA (from Philly mostly) that are politically screwed over by the system. Could have and should have apply for Utah permits so at least you can go to 34 other states without being denied a right there in PA.

Anyone that was clever enough in spring of 2014 to take advantage of the AG Kathleen Kane created LOOP HOLE before the agreement was signed on June 26 will have a UTAH permit valid in PA for the next five years, its still NOT good for just PA application but 34 other states.

    WARNING - WARNING

    "Danger, Will Robinson!".

    http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/uploa..._agreement.pdf
see agreement page1 under NOW THEREFORE item 1.

Anyone that is NOT an actual resident of UTAH can NOT use their Non resident Utah permit in PA as in the past

Its hidden in text, they spent some time crafting this text to catch some unsuspecting gun owners from other states that are not UTAH resident.

For everyone that had relied on a Utah NON resident permit to visit PA, make sure you thank (cough - choke - gag) AG Kathleen Kane for screwing over normally law abiding gun owners and deny you the right to defend yourself while visiting in PA.

Write your snail mail letters and address to

    Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General
    16th Floor, Strawberry Square
    Harrisburg, PA 17120

You should also send copies of letters to everyone in PA government leadership position telling them you are going to vote with your feet.

IF you need a list of who to contact just ask!

    included the reasons why:

You are not going to visit PA or spend your hard earned money in PA because of this change by AG Kathleen Kane that make you traveling to PA to dangerous since you have been denied a basic god given right of self defense against criminals that could attack you while visiting PA, you are going somewhere else to visit instead.

Have no illusions that they will actual care about your personal safety with those in government, the travel related industries etc... what they do actually care about is you spending your money in PA. make this the focus of your letters!

Make sure your voice and opinion known politely... express your feeling! This how you make a difference otherwise this is going to be the SOP and everyone just going to have to live with this.
