Another accidental shooting in Penn Hills last night.
That's two in the same evening. This time just East of Pitsburgh. Apparently a few people were partying at a house when a friend shot another when the gun came out. Died on scene. What's disturbing is the news casters keep saying they were "playing with the gun". They also mentioned them to be in their early 20's so i don't know how people that age are playing with guns.
Will update when there's a link.Last edited by RaggedEdge; June 19th, 2014 at 05:54 AM.

I guess my question is WTF were they doing "playing" with a loaded rifle?
When in doubt, knifehand!

Re: Another accidental shooting in Penn Hills last night.
I saw a situation like this ALMOST happen when I was much younger, before my lessons in gun safety. Ignorance kills. I wish firearm safe handling was a required module in high school home ed. or similar so everyone is exposed to it. Might help fix a little stupid.

People load their guns then forget that they did it. As simple as that. And who hasn't shown off their guns to some guest or friend? Put the two together and you have tragedies like this.

Re: Another accidental shooting in Penn Hills last night.
Of course, but if you follow the rules of safety shouldnt be an issue....
i think after rule 1, its always make sure the gun is unloaded, for some that may be rule 1, but for me rule 1 is not point the muzzle at anything i dont wish to destroy
I keep some guns loaded in my safe, others not...doesnt mean when i pull ANY gun out, i dont check the chamber before proceeding with anything else i do with that gun..Always treat the gun as if it is loaded, even when it is unloaded
