Re: Any info on Mt. Joy Sportsman range upgrades
Thanks for update. I saw stakes out there as well. I assume this is for the new orientation of the outdoor ranges.

Re: Any info on Mt. Joy Sportsman range upgrades
I drove by yesterday. The surveyor pins out to where the new pistol range was going have been there for months. I did not get out of the car to see what may be in the field on the rifle side. No other work than what has been reported already from what I can see. If they move the rifle range to the proposed new area, that would eliminate almost any pistol use since nothing under 50 yards was to be there if I remember correctly.
I may be able to get to the meeting next Monday.

Anyone make the meeting on Monday the 11th? If so appreciate an update. I hate to make trip just for meeting, when can not shoot prior to meeting.

Re: Any info on Mt. Joy Sportsman range upgrades
I was going to try to make the meeting but back spasms put me down for a day. Here is part of a recent message that is on the Facebook site:
"was there other day at archery shoot and was told no new pistol range ,they are working at fixing old range, it should be ready in the fall..."
Everyone really needs to try to get to the next meeting and get first hand what is going on there. Gee if they need help, MAYBE if they communicated to members when work is going to be done and what help is needed, others may find the time to help. Communication of the officers could NOT be worse. Any officer of the association out there reading this?Last edited by vetman03; August 13th, 2014 at 11:33 PM.

Re: Any info on Mt. Joy Sportsman range upgrades
Mt. Joy Sportsman has new website.
Quote from website re the ranges.
"We are working diligently to gain approval from the township and our neighbor to reopen our existing ranges. There is still a lot of work that will need to be done, and we will need the help of membership to accomplish it.
Stay tuned for further updates..."
