Reading Hospital ED?
Anybody know if the Emergency Department at Reading Hospital has metal detectors or scans for C/C? My mother is in an ambulance right now headed there, I'm in N. Lancaster County getting ready to go. Don't want any issues once I get there. TIA.

Wow. Talk about CC dedication. Mom on way to hospital by ambulance....let's hang around for 6 minutes to get an answer re carrying into the hospital. Don't know if I could have done that when Mom was still around.
Hope you were en route linked to a smart phone.Last edited by Bang; June 11th, 2014 at 11:48 AM.

Or maybe I'm a nurse and formerly a medic and I know something more about her conditiion than you do dickhead. Go back under your bridge troll.

Cool down guys. Snuffy, you're under some stress at the moment - we get that. I don't think Bang meant to troll. I do applaud your CC dedication.
I hope everything turns out OK for your family.
I know every hospital is different. Long story short - I CC'd when all of my children were born at Hershey. I took it off of my hip and placed it (safely) in the top drawer while sleeping. I know the nurse saw it while she was tending to my wife (C-section) through the night. She made no mention of it. Either she didn't care or it was nothing she hasn't seen before.
Emergency rooms in some areas with high levels of feral urban youth activity do have metal detectors at the entrance to the ER. I'm don't know if this hospital falls into that category.Soap Box - Worn out : Ballot Box - Broken : Jury Box - Pending : Ammunition Box - Unknown
