Re: value?
Barrel length, blued, nickel, stainless or bright stainless finish will all play a part in pricing. Original stocks, box, paper work and sights will also affect price.
Try a search on gunbroker.com for Colt Python to get an idea of the price ranges.
You could also look on Coltforum.com, Python pricing is a popular topic there.
If you can, post a couple of pictures, it will help in determining exactly what you have.

Re: value?
As mentioned above.
They go for $400 to $2500 at online auctions.
I had mine appraised before I traded it, a 8" Royal Blue in 97-99% = $1500-1800.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515, SteveWag
