(C)--3rd pic-- Sitting there glassing the fields, I was ambushed. I found myself locked into a fierce hand to hand, or hand to paw, or maybe hand to foot--WHATEVER--mortal combat, that drew blood.

A highly skilled and trained, killer ATTACK Groundhog got me. I knew they existed, but in my 60 + years of hunting them, this was my first encounter. What seemed like an eternity we broke apart. The porker won round one. All of a sudden he had his hand (or whatever) on my unloaded, sacred .204. As he reached for my scope, I yelled "groundhog, touch that scope and your arse is in trouble"----"I will ; I can't do that. It's against the current game laws. NO HARASSING game". Every option I thought about, was in some form or another, against the game laws.

Finally, this trained killer ATTACK ground grizzly, after giving me the finger, he (or maybe she) marched off to ambush other unsuspecting hunter.

The end - - - A footnote. Do they have fingers or toes or claws--WHATEVER ! ! ! !

I always try to remember to carry my 22 Ruger single six with the 22 magnum cylinder along with me when groundhog hunting. You just never know. Those 'hogs are tough little buggers.

I was pondering and you have to add into the equation, that I am really old and my physical capabilities have diminished, carrying my M30 Glock .45ACP, but that would probably be a Game Law Violation also. I can't hit do-do with the M30, but the noise should knock a trained killer ATTACK chuck over.
