    Default stupid philly airgun law

It is really dumb why philadelphia outright bans airguns... worse than knives... at least having a knife on you for your job is ok.

I was at falls township rifle and pistol asking about their plinking range if people use pellet guns and the guy goes "oh yeah they do". An airgun would be my choice for plinking. Cheap (all day on 5 bucks) as well as that feeling of those old shooting galleries you only see on tv anymore.

The waitlist at falls was long so i thought "hey i could do some airgun plinking at holmesburg while get on the waitlist and wait it out for falls. It just dawned on me that possesion of airguns is illegal in philly. I wonder why they didnt just make the law "unless you are a member of a shooting club" or "on your way to or from a designated shooting range".

Pure example of a knee jerk reaction.
my goal: to get every good person in the philly region responsibly armed.

It's not the only stupid thing they do. They made carrying guns illegal in the parks because the parks are more violent. I hike and fish quite a bit in the parks after dark (they're open till 1am). Now, if the parks are more violent why would you disarm the sportsmen trying to use the park for legitimate purposes? Does this make sense to anyone?

Yeah but that is specifically preempted thanks to the state.
