Default California reaches all new low

Police and teacher inform students that one of there classmates has just died a victim of a drunk driving car accident.

Only to be told hours later that it was a hoax.

I think this is going to far. Its one think to make you watch those videos of bad wrecks in drivers ed, but this is something else. To make you believe your friend has died just to push some agenda is going to far if you ask me.

Wow putting kids through that kind of stress has to be traumatic. That can't be a good plan.

I thought I just heard about the exact same thing a few weeks ago. I can't remember if it was a MADD event but I think it was
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

And people wander why kids these days are so messed up with all of this programs designed to messes with their emotions.

To top it off this program was run by the police and teacher two group of people the kids are suppose to be able to trust and come to in time of real crises, and that trust is compromised for what?

And yet, if a kid pulled a fire alarm, they'd nail him to the wall.

Yeah, this is a fine example of our nannies doing horribly wrong things for, 'the greater good.' ...so tragic. I can't believe people put up with this crap. Only in Kalifornia... for now.

Its just like when i was in school and the local law brought in narcotics to show us all what they looked like, so we could "just say no".

It was more like... "say... where can we get some of that".

Yanno...at first, I was horrified. Then, I paused and thought a little more. Maybe, just maybe, remembering this ugly lesson will stop a few kids from drinking and driving from parties and proms. Better this way than to lose someone for real.

Yup, I was thinking along these same lines. It's OK to make a group of kids think their friend was killed in DUI accident, but if a child draws a picture of a gun on their notebook they get expelled. Where's the logic?
