New galco mx4 holster stuck

Ok, so I heard that you need to put the gun in a few times and that it will be "tight" at first. But I just got this holster, put my springfield mil spec 45 in it and have spent the last 20 minutes trying to get it out! I hit the retention trigger, I see the plastic raise up as it should away from the extractor and I can not get the gun out of the holster. It's still stuck! Anyone else have a problem like this? Says on the case it's for a springfield 5" 45 so it should work. Wth?

Got it. Leaving this here in case anyone else has an issue. Pried the end of the moving plastic piece up and was able to slip it out. Put it back in, pried it up just a bit and pulled real hard and it slipped out. I'm guessing the plastic retainer is larger than necessary and pulling it out over and over was shearing it down a little at a time until it works pretty much as it should. Still putting it in and pulling it out to work it till it's perfect but that's the deal.

Sounds like a bad design. If you can remove it right from the start then you shouldn't use it for carry.

If you were outside your home or hell in your home and you had to draw you couldn't.

I'd send that back.

I raved about the M4X. I really liked mine for my G19. It was never that tight,meaning it had great retention but once the thumb drive was depressed it always released. I switched to a Safariland 6378 ALS. Same concept just a little more refined.
