Inaccurate shooting in commercials?
I've watched a lot of ammo commercials which almost always show a target in the end getting hit with rounds... the rounds are never on the X.
Whats the deal? Surely they wouldn't have a problem putting every round in the X or touching... but this never happens.
WHY!?!?!!?The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Re: Inaccurate shooting in commercials?
It's not the X that determines accuracy, it's the group. So long as they hit nearly the same place every time - they are accurate.
The being off X is a matter of the gun and sights/scope.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Re: Inaccurate shooting in commercials?
Nearest to the X is accuracy.
Closest in group is precision.
Nevermind that there is 'accuracy' as it separately relates to the user and the firearm.

Truth in advertising maybe. Now matter how good the ammo is or the shooter you won't hit the X every time, no matter the circumstances. I think they are appealing to the hunters, like me. hitting the X everytime is not as important as consistancy(sp) in shot placement.

I like the x, and harbor no ill will toward it. Of course, I could easily hit it over and over if I wanted to, but that would be a vulgar display.

If you're aiming for the X, and you shoot it out, then where do you aim? I adjust my precision rifles to shoot 1 inch low, and 1 inch left at their "zero" range. That way, I always have the same sight picture. It makes a difference at 24X+!
