    Default AR15 Lower Transfer Question

My ex-gf as we were splitting up left an AR15 lower that was under her name. When she bought it, it was transferred by an FFL to her. However, she installed a buffer tube and completed the whole lower. We planned to buy a pre-assembled 16" upper for it.

When we split up, she basically just left it and said "I'm not going to build it myself, take it."

What's the legal thing to do here? Do I need to get a bill of sale? Can she even do this without us going to an FFL?

The way it currently sits it's set up to be a rifle and not a pistol, so I was under the impression she could technically FTF transaction with me?

FTF private sale is fine if both are PA residents

Now........ If it was a shaky breakup.... Might want to use an FFL anyways

Yeah, legally your good but if she wants revenge she could say it was stolen and get you pinched. To be safe you may wanna get a dealer who will do a self to self transfer.

We're on good terms, but I may get it in writing then.
