Default Remington Golden Saber 180gr JHP?

    Remington Golden Saber 180gr JHP:

Just picked up a box from my LE dealer and it came recommended. Any comments, concerns, advice on this load?

I'm in the process of trying various carry ammo for my G23

    Thanks

Good round, should work well for ya as long as it is shoots accurately out of your pistol
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Its whats in the chamber of my 1911 on my hip.

Only problem I have with it is if it slams to hard into the feed ramp it actualy pushes the bullet farther into the case. (Only if I use 8 round mags and I full load them)

    noob question...

Is this a replacement for the Ranger cartridges or has the Golden Sabers been around for a while? I recently got a couple boxes of the Ranger on clearance at Cabelas and I'd figured that Remington had discontinued the line or something..

I've used the factory loaded Remington 230 grain Golden Sabers and hand loaded some myself as well.

I was very pleased with their performance.

100% expansion and weight retention every time.

They are my home defense ammo of choice. Golden Sabers rock

Ranger is Winchester. Golden Saber is Remington. They are both very good.
You can never have enough horsepower or ammunition.
