Had a good time today

My family and I went up to the wife's uncle's place last night. We stayed over in their trailer and the youngest and I got up early to go out for turkey. Neither heard nor saw a single bird before noon (or after) so we went back down and had lunch. Daughter had had enough so we called a stop to hunting for the day.

After a short walk around the property, (and the discovery of three deer carcasses in the bottoms (presumably wounded last deer season)) we pulled out my 20 year old, never fired Dan Wesson .357 and put the box of 20 year old cheap Aguila ammo through it. Our target was an old dead tree. Oldest had never pulled the trigger on any sort of firearm in her life and she did well. Youngest has fired many different firearms (no handgun more powerful than .22LR pistol) and she did well, too. Both professed to have had fun.

Might have to pick up reloading!
