Smile Voting and preemption in one day

Just came back from voting, open carried, non issue. On may way out, I stopped at the Shillington Park to read there rules. My grandson plays softball there, and I cc so as not to scare the parents (lol). Anyway, the signage reads NO firearms. Nobody in the borough building, but there is a police station attached. Talked to a very nice officer about the violation. He told me that although the sign reads no firearms, the written ordinance only says no discharge. Talked for about another 10min, and he seemed very pro 2a.

    The written ordinance says:

    §16-101. Park Regulations.
From and after the enactment of this Part the following regulations shall be
effective for the proper conduct or behavior when using the facilities of Memorial Park, including pools, of the Borough of Shillington:
    G. Possession or discharge of any type of firearms, bows and arrows, air guns, slingshots, air rifles, fireworks, or explosives is prohibited.

Since this ordinance includes a penalty, it was established under the town's legislative powers and should be tolled by the state pre-emption (18 Pa CS 6120) with respect to possession of firearms.

I don't understand why they simply add the word "illegal" before firearm. I think we can agree that no one wants illegal firearms or illegal carrying. This way it is referencing CRIMINALS only instead of lumping in 99.9995% of law abiding citizens as criminals.

Unless we're talking about post-'86 machine guns, there are no illegal guns. There are many, MANY illegally-OWNED guns.

Say it with me: the guns are not the problem.

Ok, maybe it was only half of a good day. Looks like I have more people to talk to. Nobody will be at the borough building till Thursday, so I'll give it a try then. I printed out the park regs, and I'll walk them by the police station also.

Just voted, I got off my bike walked towards the building and I see a constable sitting in a chair surrounded by Libs, he glared at my Glock and got up to follow me in. Nothing exciting no contact.

Can someone please define what an Illegal gun is?

Possession of a stolen gun is possession of stolen property.
Possession of a gun during a crime is possession of a instrument of a crime.
Possessing a gun illegally doesn't make the gun illegal just like possessing a car illegally doesn't make the car illegal.

The above might not be exact per PA Crimes code but most folks will get the drift. WTF is an Illegal gun?

While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.
