Default Whatever Happened to the Beretta Pico?

Began seeing the ads i the Gun mags in Jan 2104. Thought it might be a good small carry gun; then nothing.

Does anyone know why they aren't around?

If Beretta cancelled this model, they sure wasted a lot of money on ads

They have them listed on their website.

But like other manufacturers - there might not be enough to go around. Or a gunshop may not have ordered some.

After the influx of pocket 380's onto the market in the past 10 years - the market might be tapped out. Just a few years ago I couldn't find a pocket 380 in a gunshop. Now - they are everywhere. And cheap usually sells faster than more expensive. ...so a gun dealer may be less inclined to stock something that may not sell for a long time.

I beleive beretta has delayed the release multiple times. The Pico was announced at the 2013 Shot show and again at the 2014 one. As far as i know they are still not available yet. Berettaforum.com has a lengthy thread on it with the most up to date info.

I wanted to pick one up myself but ended up going with a S&W Bodyguard 380 and couldnt be happier with it. If you dont want to wait on the Pico and are in the market for a pocket 380 its worth a look.

    yeah, but it's .380 / .32 ACP.

i personally think .32 is way underappreciated.

Yeah i was interested in the barrel swap ability myself. I just checked the thread on Berettaforum.net and the general consenus over there seems to be Pico may be released right around the time hell freezes over. It seems Beretta has been advertising the Pico off and on for the last two years but continues to delay the release date.
