Mike Stack NOT for Lieutenant Governor, another communist
Where do these guys come from? Another TV ad from a PA politician running for lieutenant governor who wants to TAX millionaires, and the drilling companies, to FINALLY fund education. Well I thought education was already funded by real estate, and property taxes which go up every year HIGHER than the rate of inflation. Duh.
Oh, yeah, and he wants to BAN "assault rifles".
These people parrot the same four, or five lines, and then smile, and say things in PA will be different. So basically Hope, and Change again.Last edited by Pilot321; May 11th, 2014 at 10:03 AM.

Re: Mike Stack NOT for Governor, another communist
Maybe they can increase the tax on capital gains and why is everyone who wants to raise taxes a communist? I true communist would simply pick up arms kill anyone that opposes them and sort things out later. Well that is apparently the easiest way to install communism anyways, but it usually is hijacked by a totalitarian who wants to rule like a king. Which makes it not communism.

How about the right to own property, according to the declaration of independence? Property, like the money, they earned.
Only a person, who never lived in soviet block, where everyone were poor, can say the quoted nonsense. I lived there. Sheeple were happy, that there were no rich. Want me to remind you what happened to the economics, based on that ideology?Je suis déplorable

In doesn't give us rights. It states the cornerstone idea, that life, liberty and property ownership are god given rights, and government is established to protect them. And if government becomes destructive to those means, it is our right to take it down.
There are certain things, that government must do without a doubt and it needs financing. Hence the taxes. But mere redistribution of wealth is contrary to the founding principles of this nation.Je suis déplorable

Re: Mike Stack NOT for Governor, another communist
No need to be spiteful.
I understand you covet your wealth. Just don't become too greedy otherwise people that are envious will take it from you.
The problem is how the markets are set up and taxes are put in place the system favors the rich considerably. There are many tax benefits for corporations to tax advantage of. There is a hefty sum of corporate welfare that is regularly ignored and it is easier to attack poor people who have little to no representation within our government over massive industries which afford the lobbyists. Running for office is generally cost prohibitive for anyone who isn't wealthy. That is unless you can suck up to wealthy donors which usually involves giving favors down the road. There has certainly been a redistribution of wealth and if you look at the stats of this country those in the top 10% have seen a nice rise and the top .1% has seen an even better rise while we steadily erode our middle class that was built up on low skill manufacturing jobs of the past. People act like manufacturing just isn't worth the much today but those jobs are what make the tangible products that really help build the economy up. Instead we shipped the vast majority of them overseas because it raises the bottom line for shareholders.Last edited by Kabloosh; May 8th, 2014 at 11:11 PM. Reason: R
