Default Holster for person with injured shoulder

I am writing on behalf of a gentleman of 68, a right-handed man who had a right shoulder replacement several years ago, and still has mobility and arthritis issues.

He wants to be carry concealed, and is wondering what kind of holster would be suitable with someone with this physical limitiation. Any suggestions?

Or any suggestions about how he could carry and draw with that kind of physical limitation?

    Thanks

Crossdraw or appendix carry if on the belt. Pocket carry for smaller guns.

KPW nailed it. Crossdraw should be easiest on his shoulder.

Yep. Crossdraw. Pulling a gun out of a holster this way:

...requires that the entire shoulder be raised up. It puts a lot of force on the joint. Doesn't feel like much to most of us, our shoulders are sturdy and are designed to take a fair amount of abuse, but for someone with an injury, it can be excrutiating. A crossdraw would require very little shoulder movement. The act of raising the gun and lining up the sights would be more difficult than the draw.

When I had my shoulder injury I tried cross draw and I still had A LOT of pain when trying to aim. I practiced left handed. It took me a lot of drawing and reholstering in front of a mirror just to get it some what right. My left arm is just there to balance my body. It's as useless tits on a boar hog.

Why not get a concealment shoulder strap bag? I use one for the gun shows small but has plenty of room and a concealment pocket.

Let me go see if I can find a link to one. BRB

Found it, I have this in Black.

I am going through a "frozen shoulder" ailment now. The OWB strong side about 3 o'clock works for me. I tried crossdraw, but found it limiting for me, too much of a stretch.

Your friend will need to see what suits him best and not take some of the cockamamie theories for gospel.
