I finally decided to go pay my $20 and get my LTCF. I previously had one from '93 - '98. I went in today and there were 4 people ahead of me. I was out of the office with my shiny new LTCF in 45 minutes. I honestly did not expect to receive it today and it was a nice surprise.

...The very fact that the state believes it has the authority to require us to have a license to exercize a right? That's a pretty big glaring problem in and of itself.

Needing a LCTF makes it more of a "privilege" than a right because it can be revoked. OC, no permit required and no "must show" I.D in pa law.

I hear ya. I'm not actually in the City of, but close enough. The Sheriff's Dept. had two officers working the desks and getting people through as quickly as possible.

The Commonwealth can, under current law, pass a statute that makes OC "illegal."

This should make us question the very definition of a "right."

Having seen many perceived "rights" crushed under the weight of a judicial opinion, I long ago concluded that one has a "right" if it is more painful than it is worth for someone to take it from you. Other than that, what one has is a conditional promise.
