Cheap optic for ar 15
I need something cheap for my new PAFOA ar 15. I can't spend to much dough on this because I spent more than I was allowed to spend on the rest of the build. I would like to get something under $100, even under $50 if possible. I will only be shooting short range for now, under 50 yards. Any suggestions?

Good for close range. 2.5 in dot at 50 yards.
Reviews are decent on guns with 10x the recoil of the AR.

Thanks guys, I think I'll give the Barska red dot a try. I'm sure I'll upgrade at some point but Right now cheaper is better.

Re: Cheap optic for ar 15
I don't know who said it, although I'm sure this is the type of quote that has been floating around for as long as optics have been around:
"If you can't shoot through iron sights, you can't shoot."
Don't take that to mean I am insulting anyone's marksmanship abilities, that is certainly not my goal. However, the better one is at fundamental marksmanship, the better they will be in advanced marksmanship."We must all hang together, or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately." -Benjamin Franklin

I have one of those. It worked perfect until I changed reticals a lot. Then it got a bit loose and the dot would wander. Fine for 50 yards and under. ....and stick to one retical.
