Wink New to guns and site:)

    Hello Everyone,
I am new to all this stuff with guns. I bought a Charter Arms pink lady .38. Did I make a good choice for my first gun for range shooting and protection? Any info that anyone gives would be great! Thanks so much everyone! Have a great day!

    Welcome.

A .38 revolver is a very good choice for a first gun that will also be used for protection. Charter Arms has a reputation for making solid if unrefined guns. Given the short barrel of the Pink Lady, you'll want to find a light practice load so the recoil isn't overly unpleasant.

I recommend you seek out a beginners course on firearms. It's helpful to get a good foundation on safety and responsibility. You can ask where you bought the firearm or do some internet searching for your area.

Not a bad choice at all. Good to see local women getting into the shooting scene.

Welcome to the site and your new love affair with guns! You man a good choice with your first (probably of many) gun purchases. Like others have said look into taking a basic pistol class and feel free to ask any questions you may have. There are a lot of knowledgeable people on here that would gladly help you.

Welcome to PAFOA and to the world of firearms Charter Arms are good guns and as mentioned, a 38 is a good first choice for protection and range. Charter Arms has an outstanding warranty and service too. Enjoy and welcome!

not sure how much time you have spent around firearms, but learn the 4 rules if you haven't already done so.
