For assault rifle - 5-10 years + max $150k and Graves Act minimum term of parole ineligibility of at least 42 months.

    Large cap mags - 18 months + $10k max

Boarding a plane with his "assault rifle" - stupid...

However, this: "charged with unlawful possession of an assault firearm and large-capacity ammunition magazines" does not belong in America unless he was a criminal.

He had declared the gun. He is charged with possession not boarding with a firearm, as I understand it.

Was this firearm really an "assault rifle" or what the media deems an assault rifle? I heard the correct term for a semiauto rifle like an AR-15 is a "modern sporting rifle." We shouldn't use media terms that cause ourselves harm.

Police arrested Urbana after they said he failed to produce the required legal documents.
Does anyone know what the legal documents are that they are talking about?

    Probably a badge.

There were a number of "assault weapons" that were registered in NJ 20+ whatever years ago for established use in competition shooting. I think NJ passed a law in the past year or so invalidating those as well.
