Re: ceasefire pa requesting counter protestets may 10th
I would love come down from the Poconos and would gladly share the ride with others. PM me. In the "Other" section, there is a long thread about the April 2013 counter march with a LOT of good ideas about how to come off looking good. Video their trouble makers, use distinctive clothing and stand apart so as not to get counted in with the Ceasefire people, instantly call the police to make arrests for any assaults (a woman was coughing/spitting on PAFOA people and more). Since Love Park is close to Ceasefire's offices, we could make a conga line of persons asking, one at a time, for their financials as required by their tax free status. Imagine one person every 5 minutes having the same conversation with their staff. This is almost the first notice on PAFOA about the 5-10 event so we need to pick up the pace to have a good showing. This is also Philly so some caution is needed re OC and the police reaction to it.

Re: ceasefire pa requesting counter protestets may 10th
The date May 10 is important to my family this year. Last gathering over Christmas dinner we decided to have a family shoot with friends and extended family. It is not easy getting a couple dozen people together but, May 10th worked for most of us. We will answer their protest by excersing the right they want to take away.
I may be able to get a picture of us mooning ceasefire pa if the tell the group what the picture is for. Any one have an address of where to send it?

Re: ceasefire pa requesting counter protestets may 10th
I will be wearing shirt and tie and open carrying my m&p full size if I go. Might open carry a hi point 9mm carbine pending if I get it this weekend. Ever since mark fiorino won his lawsuit, philly pd anti's will stare at you and look miserable but they will not confront you. I've open carried in crazy heavily policed areas like south street at random times during the day.
The shirt and tie would be to look professional and give the image that gun owners aren't a bunch of "redneck nra nuts" (even though I do drive a truck and I am a lifetime nra member, but I do have a darth vader hitch cover implying I am a geek. "Mike lee, I am your father" )my goal: to get every good person in the philly region responsibly armed.

That may have been your experience but the Philly PD still trains their cops that they have the right and the obligation to disarm and check the LTCF of anybody carrying a gun.
T
here was even a court case affirming that recently but I didn't pay much attention:

Second, a coordinate purpose is to
aid in the efforts of law enforcement in the protection of the public; in
Philadelphia, the police are empowered to arrest an individual for overtly
carrying a firearm without first determining if it is licensed or operable. See
Commonwealth v. Taggert, 997 A.2d 1189, 1196-1197 (Pa.Super. 2010)
(viewing a gun allows for probable cause to arrest in Philadelphia), appeal
denied, 610 Pa. 578, 17 A.3d 1254 (2011). We find that Section 6108
serves a legitimate state interest.Last edited by ungawa; April 24th, 2014 at 04:18 PM.

File for a permit to have a rally in LOVE Park immediately after their rally, and ask for the Philly PD civil affairs unit to provide our group protection. LOL
