    Default DE-MOLDING LEATHER

Anyone know the best way to remove mold from leather? I recently inherited a whole bunch of belts, holsters, etc. and they look like they were stored under water! There's also a great leather jacket that my wife loves but it looks like the "fungus amongus"......any ideas?

Take them and have them professionally cleaned. Though if the mold is bad, it may already be too late.

Try Clorox Wipes followed by Horsemans One Step. Use the Horsemans sparingly as a white build-up will be caused by excess. There will probably be some discoloration from the mold. Try this in an inconspicous spot.

+1 on the saddle soap, again assuming it's not too bad.

Unless the leather is completely deteriorated, put them in the oven overnight on its lowest setting (180-200 degrees F). Take them out in the morning and brush them well, both sides, then saddle soap or neatsfoot oil and you'll be fine.

Oh, and then do the self-clean setting on the oven and go to a movie while its happening.
