Captain we have a problem
Looks like Al Gore and his communist friends in the Green movement may be in for a major fall. I read a few days ago where the Global warming Chicken Little's said it was going to cost $45 Trillion to stop it.
Well as they say follow the money.
Solar Cycle 24
If this happens $150 a barrel oil will be cheap.
You probably haven’t heard much of Solar Cycle 24, the current cycle that our sun has entered, and I hope you don’t. If Solar Cycle 24 becomes a household term, your lifestyle could be taking a dramatic turn for the worse. That of your children and their children could fare worse still, say some scientists, because Solar Cycle 24 could mark a time of profound long-term change in the climate. As put by geophysicist Philip Chapman, a former NASA astronaut-scientist and former president of the National Space Society, “It is time to put aside the global warming dogma, at least to begin contingency planning about what to do if we are moving into another little ice age.”

That's what they were teaching us in the late 60's / early 70's, we're headed toward another ice age.
The earth goes through cycles, Big Al and his buddies are looking at a few years of statistics between then and now and ignoring the big picture.
I offer no predictions, and I endorse nobody else's predictions.

Re: Captain we have a problem
I get a laugh from the Global Warming crowd, especially when they consistently IGNORE solar cycle data.
Guess what kids, that big NUCLEAR fireball a scant ONE A.U. (astronomical unit, 93 million miles) away has a lot more to do with global weather that every human on the planet.
Dear God! Next thing you know dihydrogen monoxide will be banned!

Another thing too ....With the caps and glaciers melting some(undisputed that they have), the salinity of the oceans have diluted some - which causes them to not bring heat to the northern regions via convection/hydrothermal transfer.
