Default Delaware County still non-resident friendly?

I'm from Montgomery County, currently living out of state in Michigan, but I am here in PA visiting for the week. My LTCF issued in Montgomery expires Dec 23 and I might not have another chance to renew before then.
My wife is also a MI resident and wants a PA LTCF as well.
We both have a Michigan CPL.
Does Delaware County still issue to non-residents? Will I be able to renew there?
    Thanks guys

It sounds like they do, but the only real way to find out for sure is to contact the sheriff's office.

At the top of this page is a link called COUNTIES.
From there you can find links to all the sheriffs offices.

PS, Delco's web page is http://www.co.delaware.pa.us/sheriff/weapons.html

I find government websites are often out of date by the time they are published. People get new positions, policies and procedures change, but the public is often the last to know.

I would call and ask "what does a non-resident need to bring to get an LTCF".

According to the "Page Info" from my browser, it was last modified on 03/18/2014. A new sheriff took over at the beginning of this year.

That makes me worry because my birth cert, ssn card, etc are all in Michigan...I hope we don't need those

I would recommend Berks or Lancaster. Issued over the counter. Delco will require two trips.
Right of citizens to bear arms ...shall not be questioned.

You should only need a photo driver's license and your MI CPL. Having a carry license/permit in your home state (if they issue one) is a requirement for a non-resident to get a PA LTCF.

Your SSN is an optional requirement on the application but helps if there is someone else with the same name who might have a problem with the background check.

The other issue may also be that (it used to be) you may have to pick up the LTCF in person when it's ready - even though they take your photo and get your signature when you apply.

Not a bad idea. When I call on Monday, i'll call and ask all three Delco, Berks, and Lancaster. I'll decide from there based on which is easier.
