say no to craigslist
I just went to craigslist.com for the first time to look for a chainsaw part, and discovered their ban list. You can't buy or sell a BB gun, but you can buy or sell a compound bow capable of killing an elk at 100 yards. What are these people thinking? They are grouping firearms with child pornography!!
And, in what shocked me more than anything else, you are not allowed to sell "used bedding" or "amphibians" on this ubiquitous and efficient site. What is the world coming to? And what was Craig smoking when he came up with this list?
Partial list of items for sale and services the advertisement of which is not permitted on craigslist:
* Obscene material or child pornography.
* Offer or solicitation of illegal prostitution.
* Weapons and related items, including but not limited to firearms, disguised, undetectable or switchblade knives, martial arts weapons, scopes, silencers, ammunition, ammunition magazines, BB guns, tear gas or stun guns.

Re: say no to craigslist
While looking for jobs on craigslist my girlfriend found all sorts of adds for perverted stuff. You can make some extra money by taking nude photos of people, being in 3-somes, 4-somes, and more-somes. Or by going over to someones house and fisting his wife in a ducksuit and swimfins while he throws spaghetti at you.

I really have to question your knowledge of archery. I put some numbers into The Archery Program and this is the results. I used a 400 gr arrow. About the minimum any knowledgeable bowhunter would use for elk. I launched it at 285 ft/sec, which is really moving a 400 gr arrow. The program tells me it would have a total drop of 250 inches. If it were sighted in for 100 yards it would have a mid range trajectory of 67 inches. If the bow were sighted in for a maximum of 50 yards,(more likely) you would have to hold over 131 inches. I have been a bowhunter for 45 years. I have a room full of archery trophies and can't remember when I ate red meat at home that I didn't kill with an arrow. The longest shot I ever made on a game animal was 40 yards and it just happened to be an elk.
The older I get, the better I used to be.

I don't think he was trying to make an argument about archery balistics...just making a point about craigslist.
I see where you're coming from. I read it too but just decided it wasn't worth saying anything. Besides. Everything on the internet is true.
I shot a running bison with a Fred Bear recurve at 500yards and dropped it in it's tracks.

Re: say no to craigslist
Three questions, here goes. I'm computer unsavvy, is there anywhere on the internet that sells blood, bodily fluids, or BODY PARTS? Number two, I attended hunting classes as a child, and they told us that an arrow fired from a compound bow would exit, at least partially, a 55 gal drum filled with sand. Any truth to that? And finally, is the spaghetti hot when he throws it at me?
