    What do you mean by "jammed round?" Is the cartridge still stuck in the chamber?

    Depends on the nature of the jam; however, I think it goes without saying that the firearm should always be pointed in a safe direction before attempting to clear it.

    Yes still stuck in the chamber, And at risk of soundind stupid what other kinds of jams are there. I will be a new gun owner. therefor I want to be as responsible as possible.
