    has anybody ever used cold blueing on jb weld?

    Cold blue is an acid that chemically corrodes the metal to make the Blue.
    JB weld is not metal.

    Where is the weld that you're trying to blue? I've been refinishing everything from AR magazine couplers to my PT92's slide and controls and entire shotguns with Rustoleum engine enamel. I've used it on steel, aluminum, plastic and wall plaster. The matte black spray can and some skill can give you some pretty excellent results.



    I just did this magazine extension earlier today. I also did the barrel last year.

    Does it hold up to solvents such as Hoppe's #9 ?
