Far left communist Allyson Schwartz NOT for Governor
U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz launches her first TV ad in the Democratic primary for governor Monday, a 30-second spot that highlights her work in the state senate helping enact a landmark children’s health insurance program.
Well, it begins. Doubt if she will mention more gun control, but you never know with this New Yorker. Look for more energy taxes to further bribe public sector unions for more votes.

Re: Far left communist Allyson Schwartz NOT for Governor
An Obama lap dog that will always be associated with helping to jam obamacare down the throats of the American people, the majority of which were against it and still remain so.
I doubt she gets the democratic nomination. Her demeanor and very appearance is that of arrogance, whether or not you agree with her.
Philadelphia governors have never done well relating to Harrisburg politics. The great political schmoozer fast eddy Rendell never mastered the task, Schwartz would be steamrolled.Last edited by c45man; April 7th, 2014 at 12:22 PM.

Just look to Colorado, and other states where New York transplants have successfully pushed more unreasonable gun control laws.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Simmons in 1970, as well as a Master of Social Work degree from Bryn Mawr College in 1972.

ANY vote for ANY Democrat today is foolish and dangerous.
A Republic, if you can keep it.

Re: Far left communist Allyson Schwartz NOT for Governor
Greetings,
IMO, IF our gun rights are the priority, the only viable thing we can do is to support Gov Corbett regardless of his positions on any other important issues. This support would include anyone registered dem to write in Corbett at the primary.
Having ANY of the dems so far mentioned as Governor would be a huge blow to those rights.
Regards, Jim

Gun control advocacy group gives perfect rating to Allyson Schwartz, Katie McGinty; Gov. Corbett declines survey
Gun control advocacy group CeaseFire Pennsylvania has given two gubernatorial candidates 100 percent rating on their gun control stances.
Allyson Schwartz, the current congressional representative for PA-13, and Katie McGinty, an attorney and former Environmental Protection Secretary, were the only two candidates to garner the top rating in a survey of 19 questions from the organization regarding gun control measures. Both are Democrats.
The rating was released Monday by CeaseFire executive director Shira Goodman at a press conference in the Capitol in Harrisburg.
“We are pleased that the candidates who responded all support crucial, commonsense gun violence prevention measures like expanding background checks and mandatory reporting of lost and stolen guns,” she said. “Their views are shared by a large majority of Pennsylvanians.”
Goodman stressed that the results of the survey were not an endorsement.
“For too long, Harrisburg has chosen to be silent,” Goodman said. “Pennsylvania has the opportunity to lead the nation in needed reforms. We challenge these candidates to talk about the issue of gun violence on the campaign trail.”
Gov. Tom Corbett and fellow Republican Bob Guzzardi did not respond to the survey. Guzzardi, an attorney and conservative activist, seeks to overtake Corbett in the Republican primaries.
Venture capitalist and state treasurer Rob McCord earned an 84 percent rating. Tom Wolf, the current front runner in the polls, earned a 79 percent rating. Both are Democrats.
CeaseFire vice president Phil Goldsmith said the organization was disappointed that Corbett and Guzzardi had declined to participate in the survey.
“We believe the public would be better served if they had answered the questionnaire, even if they disagree with the proposals presented.”
CeaseFire, which advocates “commonsense” reforms to reduce gun violence, polled the candidates on such points as background checks, a ban on assault weapons and mandatory reporting of lost and stolen firearms.
Goodman said the gun control issue was a critical issue in the upcoming election.
