    Default First ar build

Well my lower came in today so I got right to work. It took me about a half an hour but I had to stop in the middle to make a bottle for my daughter. I did put a little scratch next to the bolt catch but it's not noticable unless you look for it. I ordered a complete upper assembly from anvil so when that gets here I'm ready to go. Thanks to everyone who posted in my other thread for the help.

Looks nice...I'm waiting on my lower to get here from them so I can start on my build.

If you don't mind, how much was Anvil's complete upper? What kind of options did you get on it? I was thinking about asking Jon if they would do something like that when I'm ready to finish the build...so I guess the answer is yes they would make a complete upper.

Sweet. Looking good so far. That's all I had about a week ago. The wait for the upper is NUTS!

It was about $480 for the complete upper assembly. I got the "16 m4 barrel, flat top upper, nothing special. I didn't know they did the complete uppers either. I asked him where I can get a good upper assembly that would match the finish on my lower and he said " I hear anvil arms makes a good upper assembly", so I figured that would be the best bet for color match.

Well it's finally done, haven't gotten to the range yet so the range report is still to come. Here's a couple crappy pics. Thanks for all help.

It's funny , I was just thinking about reviving the "PAFOA AR-15 Picture Thread" to see if anyone else had done anything with their lowers.

    apython,
How 'bout throwing your rifle on there as well?

Looks great. I also just put my first lower together. I scratched it in the same spot, in a hurry I guess (to finish before the baby wakes up). I'm already planning my next rifle and I havn't even finished this one yet.
