This brings up an interesting question in my eyes.
If Obama says we will stand with Ukraine, why hasn't he contacted CMP and NRA to get US Citizens to lend weapons to the largely unarmed Ukrainians like we did with the largely unarmed Brits during WWII?

Such an act would actually confirm that firearms have a purpose other than duck hunting. It'll never happen.

They may be locals, and apparently there's a manufacturer in Ukraine that makes AR type rifles, so that rifle is probably not of "American" origin.
