It wasn’t that long ago when Dick’s Sporting Goods pulled all black semi-automatic rifles from their shelves. They felt that in light of the Sandy Hook tragedy, these guns possibly should not be sold. This of course caused massive complaints against Dick’s, by law-abiding gun owners protesting their lunacy.

They've reportedly been doing this for sometime now. Personally I haven't stepped foot in one in over a year now for other obvious reasons. I guess one more reason to boycott these dicks.

Dicks in De asked if i was a US citizen and for a copy of my license when I bought some .22. I didn't realize it was not the law. I thought there was an age requirement for purchase, just like a rifle/pistol. I don't believe they recorded any info from it, just checked.. just like when buying beer or cigs.

Actually the citizenship and age question could be considered an ambitious/stringent response to two federal laws: 18 USC §922(b)(1) and (g)(5).

Not really seeing how this is "discrimination". They have a corporate policy to ask certain questions, you as a customer have the choice to answer those questions or not. They could ask you if you like wearing pink thongs as policy if they wanted to.

I think its a silly policy but I don't know that its a big deal. Just don't go there if you don't like it. (for the record I do not buy from Dick's) I don't know why this upsets people to the point of complaining. Just stop buying from them and their affiliates.
